Paris je taime
Paris is always a good idea
Paris is known as the city of lights, the city of love, or – for some – the city of lust. But underneath all the French veneer lies an exciting metropolis full of discoveries and adventures. Yes, Paris is truly a wonderful place to get lost in – whether it’s on the Metro, in the catacombs or the endless wings of the Louvre Museum, you can never be quite sure of your bearings in the French capital. But while this lack of direction and the language barrier fog up your mind and confuse your senses, there’s nothing better you can do than letting the French help you master Paris in true Parisian style, by allowing yourself to take it easy and follow their lead, stopping along the way for lots of café au lait breaks, enjoying insane amounts of baguette and cheese, and never saying no to wine. After all, visiting Paris is not only about where you go and what you do, but how you go about doing it. While opulence may be the domain of London and eccentricity the signature of Berlin, Paris does extravagance like no other place. You can never be sure whether the Eiffel Tower looks just so for a reason or on a whim, or whether the gargoyles of Notre Dame are meant for the purpose of mockery – or whether they might be mocking you.
